How Local Motors Works

Ever wonder how Local Motors worked? As an Automotive 3.0 company, Local Motors works very differently than any other car company in the world. This video will give you insight into how Local Motors harneses the power of the community, while also empowering the community to create, develop, build, and mod new, original cars. This video was created by Nyko de Peyer, the design community liaison at Local Motors. It was animated in Apple Keynote, and then exported and edited using Telestream Screenflow. This video uses four pictogram sets that were compiled by Aaron Richard into the Pictodeck V.1. This is a keynote file that contains over 700 pictograms from the Picol, Android Icons, Pictoico, and Freshpixel pictogram sets. These pictogram sets are licensed under slightly different creative commons licenses. In addition to these icons, Local Motors designer Aurelien François helped create a unique LM icon set. Ariel Ferreira wrote the script and the video was narrated by Local Motors CEO Jay Rogers.
